Good news!  Knapps Narrows has, in fact, been dredged and is passable with decent depth now.  We took our 41 foot boat thru the narrows twice during the weekend of May 4-6 and never saw a depth below 10 feet.  Of course, I would advise carefully following the markers on both the bay side and river side.
