The ASA 218 IQC certifies a instructor candidates to teach the ASA 118, Docking Endorsement Course. The skills evaluated in this clinic are the same as those required for students, but at a much higher level with emphasis on teaching. Certification requires the Instructor Candidate to pass written and oral examinations and pass an on-the-water skills evaluation by a certified ASA Instructor Evaluator. ASA Master Instructor Evaluator Duncan Hood will provide this clinic.
Your fee covers ASA exam and instructor certification. Please bring your own lunch and any drinks you may need for the day.

Prerequisites: For 218, ASA requires a minimum of ASA 203 instructor certification before taking the clinic. Candidates should be current ASA members with strong, demonstrated docking and slow-speed boat-handling skills (single and twin-screw), as they must teach the ASA 118 standards.
Locations: Sail Solomon, Spring Cove Marina, 455 Lore Road, Solomons MD 20688
Itinerary: Leave and return to the same location. Some time will be spend on the water and exams will be provided on the boat at the dock, or in the marina fdacility.
