The former Leukemia Cup is being replaced this year with a charity regatta sponsored by the Old Dominion Boat Club and is moved to August 27. This charitable fundraiser supports both the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the ODBC Foundation. PSC will enter up to three boats in the competition. We'll rally up at Capital Cove Marina at 8:00 am. The regatta is followed by an awards ceremony, silent auction, and BBQ cookout at the Washington Sailing Marina. Event details can be found at www.olddominionboatclub.com/event-4740698.
Since its inception, the Leukemia Cup has raised millions of dollars for lifesaving research and patient services, bringing help and hope to patients and their families. If you'd like to sponsor a boat and/or donate to the fight against blood cancer, please visit PSC's fundraising site, which will be available by mid-August; your contributions are tax deductible.
The Old Dominion Boat Club Foundation was established to carry out the philanthropic goals of the Old Dominion Boat Club and to promote community service, charitable, educational, and water-related activities.
If you're interested in participating, please contact the Racing Captain at racing@pentagonsailing.org for further details. Current Racing Squadron members should sign up at Racing Sign-Up Sheet.
