Navigation Exam Prep Sessions - Sept 26, Oct 3, Oct 10.

Navigation Exam Preparation consists of working through problems that are similar to the Navigation exam in groups of 3-4 people. We will also use charts that are from the same area as the area that the navigation exam is given on. Each group of 4 will have someone who can work through the solutions ... and will be taking the exam with you. The problems will be worked with grease pencil plotted on acetate - in small groups - not quite accurate enough to get 100% - but good enough to teach and learn.

Students should show up with dividers and parallel plotters that are available from West Marine or procured from the internet. Students might also think about purchasing a "Chart 1" via the internet. We will have acetate, "china marker" grease pencils and training charts to practice on in the classroom.

The exam session will be on Oct 17.
